UnWild is a series of ambiguous animal-centric photographs taken in captivity at the Omaha Doorly Zoo & Aquarium and the Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park. I wanted to shine focus on the animals themselves rather than the conditions they’re kept in, as many other photographers have done before.
While I have access to a zoo that tries to replicate reality in the enclosures they keep their animals in, its obvious that its not the real thing; by blurring out the background and keeping the animals in focus, I want to keep the importance of these animals in the forefront of all else.
